Bumper Sticker Revisited
I just reread some old posts and this remark from Bishop Spong struck me:
Why do people say "There is only one way to God, My Way"? Who says "there is one way to God, and that's his way, that guy over there"?
The disciples said this, they said "The way to God is through Jesus." Nowadays we don't say this, or we distort Jesus into our own ideas, so Jesus becomes our puppet. That's worse than idolatry in my book. ¶ 9:32 AM
